Honors and Achievements:

 

  1. Presented technical paper titled “e-metering - Solution for checking energy thefts and stream lining revenue collection in INDIAat the 2003 IEEE-PES T&D Conference held in Dallas, Texas (USA) during September 7-12, 2003 and same was published in the conference proceedings. This paper was short-listed for Collegiate Contest and USD1000 financial support sanctioned by IEEE-PES organizing committe.  The visit was sponsored by National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Ltd.
  2. Presented technical paper titled “Design and Development of Vigilant Energy Metering System (VEMS) and its Applications” at SCOReD 2003 Conference held in Putrajaya, Malaysia organized by IEEE Malaysia Section.
  3. Awarded First Prize for Science Project on “Ash Utilization” at NAFEN’S Xth All-India NDC-97.
  4. Certificate of Merit in the National Mathematics Olympiad – 1997.

Projects Undertaken:

 

  1. Title                :           Airline Reservation System (FPGDST-DBMS module)

Description     :           We developed a online airline reservation system complete with fight

route search capability for multiple hops and connecting flights. As an extension we also developed the system for passenger checking at the airport. The entire system was developed according to the business rules currently in force in the airline industry.

 

  1. Title                :           Simulation of TCP/IP stack (FPGDST-CNET module)

Description     :           We simulated the working of the whole TCP/IP stack. Routing algorithm

used is Shortest Path routing and for congestion control we are using Sliding Window with Selective Repeat.

 

  1. Title                :           Network File System for LINUX (FPGDST-COOS module)

Role                :           Team Leader

Description     :           We simulate a simple network file system, which allowed directories and

files to be shared across a network, and transparently accessed. A simple security mechanism was also implemented.

 

  1. Title                :           Development of a Framework for Telemedicine System Incorporating

an Ad-Hoc Wireless Network (B.Tech. Final year project)

Description     :           We developed a methodology by which medical services can be provided

at or close to the home of the patient using fully equipped mobile telemedicine systems.

 

 

Training Undertaken:

 

  1. 4 Weeks(June 2002) training at National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd.(NTPC-Dadri) comprises of the O&M procedure in various areas of Coal (840MW) and Gas (830MW) Power Plant.

 

  1. 3 Weeks (Dec. 2002) training at AUTOMATION & INFORMATION TECH., C.R. PARK, NEW DELHI comprising of installation, logic development and programming of PLC based automation system. It also involved a practice project of automating a Car Assembly Line simulation.

 

  1. 1 Week(July 2003) training at SCADA LAB, Dept. of Electrical Engineering, JMI comprising of theoretical and practical training of SCADA/DCS Systems.

  2. Active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
  3. Treasurer of the IEEE - JMI Student Branch Executive Committee. Actively volunteered in organization of various IEEE events such as ENCOMIUM 02 and ENCOMIUM 03 (Technical Festival), and LABYRINTH ‘03 (Treasure Hunt).
